Sitting in water bowl-too warm or just soaking?

Several times over last few days have noticed my BP coiled in water dish, is this normal or possibly a temp issue?

    temps are:
under hot side hide(above UTH controlled with Johnson thermostat) 90
    under cool side hide:79
    ambient:79
    humidity:57%

the water bowl is located in center of tank under infer-red heat lamp positioned about 8" above tank plugged into dimmer cord on about 1/2 power.

they usually only soak before a shed or if they got mites or something but temps sound a little low so heats not an issue, imo i would increase the heat on the cool and definantly move the water bowl from underneath the heat lamp, warm water is a bacti breeding ground and then your snake drinks it and gets sick

No mites, but it has been a few weeks since last shed.
