    Exclamation Health and safety of BP

    Hey im getting a ball and i have a big tank either 30 or 40 gallons can i put a baby in it just add alot of comforting items like plastic plants so its more secure? if so can i just put one large heating pad in there and im set for the right temp?

    With a tank that big, I wouldn't. Babies are flighty and easily stressed, so putting them in anything larger than a 20long is asking for problems, even with a lot of decor.

    The best bet for a hatchling is a 12qt tub or 10gal tank until they're at least 100 grams weight. Then you can move them to a larger tank without as much worry for stress.

    Also, you don't put the heat source IN the tank...it goes underneath it on one side.

    sorry i meant under the tank. Damn though cus i bought it for a large amount so i gotta by another one!!
