    Bites Hurt?

    in everyones opinions do Amazon tree boa bites hurt? i have never been tagged by mine so dont know what to expect

    Not sure...I have always heard they had the longest teeth in the boa family. I did get bit by a 14ft burm and several ball pythons. Neither of them hurt real bad just the burm would not let go! When it happens make sure you tell us how it was.

    Hmm weird im not sure i also heard they had pretty long teeth but i have never been bitten by any of my snakes ever.Lucky eh? Though i have been bitten by my brothers king snake but thats about all.

    Yes it hurts! Ive been tagged by mine twice. My gtp on the other hand who is tiny only about 4 months old hurts even worse. Its like a zap, not really sure how else to describe it. I love them to death!

    No it doesnt hurt, I've been bit by my girl atleast 30 times(have had her less than a week) its just an annoyance haveing to clean up the blood

    wow, bit by a 14 foot burm and not hurting?

    I've seen pictures of people's hands after a big aggressive retic bite that needed multiple stitches, I would have figured just about any constrictor that size would inflict emergency-room needed attention(even if it is "only" a few stitches) if they got a hold of you.

    edit: I have to say though, the couple of time's I've been bit by any snake, the surprise is the worst part of it

    thats not an amazon tree boa its either an emerald or a GTP which both hace much larger teeth than atb's
