Talking Milwaukee County Zoo Pics (tons of em!!!)

Jason and I went to the Milwaukee County Zoo after leaving Sewerfest yesterday and had a blast! Here are some of the pics I got!

This female gorilla didn't seem too impressed by us!

Mandrill- I loved this guy! Very human eyes!

    Cayman Island Iguana

Chinese Dwarf Crocs- they were crawling all over eachother lol

I think everybody here knows what this one is....

Not the clearest pic in the world but I love me some gabbies!

This Aruba Island Rattlesnake didn't really care for Jason...

    Japanese Macaques. Cute little guys!

Jason has a way with birds! Jason started talking to these Kookaburras and they both sounded off for us!

    Pretty in Pink!

    That's me; the Goat Whisperer!

The crazy Hyenas were literally bouncing off the walls!

Love the big cats! They were all sleeping though! This Jaguar at least looked at us!

No caption needed on this one...

    Awesomeness! This is a Kudu.

Probably the tannest looking Zebra I've seen!

I love Peacocks! The place was crawling with em! There was even one in the parking lot!

This Camel was rolling around in the dust- thought it was cute!

    The Rhino.

Hungry Hungry Hippo! (I loved that game!)

All in all it was a very nice zoo. Saw lots of other great animals but didn't get pics on my camera! Jason got a bunch of awesome shots but is having technical difficulties getting them uploaded. We'll get em posted sometime, though!

I'll get them up. This OLD laptop is SLOW, just cropping and resizing the batch, and then to PB they go.

Re: Milwaukee County Zoo Pics (tons of em!!!)

Overall I was really impressed with the zoo, all the animals looked VERY well cared for and happy, none of the usual depressed pacing animals. Most all of the exhibits had some sort of stimulation for the animals inside. And I also like that there were zoo staff that were there to answer questions about animals, and tell a bit about some exhibits.

The only thing I found odd was the use of multi species enclosures for many of the reptiles. But all looked healthy..

Re: Milwaukee County Zoo Pics (tons of em!!!)

Milwaukee County Zoo is a real nice Zoo.. Altho I havent been to many to compare it to. The wife and I get yearly passes every year and end up taking the kids what seems like every 2 to 3 months. I always run for the reptiles and fish first thing... I have some grat pics myself that I will have to post in the near future... My favs have to be the King cobra and the Green Anaconda. Altho they have many Vipers and Rattlers, the Green Tree Pythons are nice too, and a few of the larger constrictors wouldnt hurt.
