    Aranea; new Female Spider!

Went to the RMRE in hopes of finding a nice male spider... and I found a gorgeous FEMALE spider for only a little higher than a male.

This is Aranea. 2-3 months old (I can't recall exactly what they said ) and a feisty little girl with a barely noticeable head shake when its up high.

    In her show container

    Size comparison

Now I just hope she's as good an eater as they said she was so she'll grow up nicely to make me some BEES!!

Very nice Spider Argentra. You got a beauty. I bet she'll eat just fine.

I agree. My 07 spider outweighs most of my 06 normals. I do have two 07 het ghost females that eat comparable to the spidey.

Thanks Tim. Your little guy is awesome as well, but when I saw a chance to get a female for only $100 more I couldn't pass it up.

And thanks to the rest of you as well.

what does that mean- "a barely noticeable head shake"? Good or bad? Pretty snake....

    Re: Aranea; new Female Spider!

The 'barely noticeable' part is good. Spider Balls have a genetic problem called "wobble" or "spinning" which can be as low key as a slight head tremor to as major as full body shaking or corkscrewing. Minor stuff is acceptable and to be expected to a point, but major stuff should be avoided. It's part and parcel to choosing a spider.

I know my desc. was pretty basic... but I'm sure other more knowledgeable members will chime in with the better explanation.
