Whoo hoo! Got a plump mouse!
My sister who has a 10 gallon set up with 1.3 mice informed me that she was going to need the small critter keeper today, she thought one of the girls had plumped up. I just check and sure enough, we had a nice and plump female running in the wheel.
I hope the other two females follow the first mouse. Will be nice to have a small production of mice to help off set the need to order frozen.
We plan on moving the mom over to a small cage in the next day or two

Mice tend to do better when they're left as a group, I believe.

Re: Whoo hoo! Got a plump mouse!
Congrats! =) Before she's ready to blow, she should look like she's packing golf balls - personally I think pregger mice get to looking way more pregnant than pregger rats...
Anyway, it's up to you if you wanna try keeping the 1.3 together or putting the mom in her own enclosure before she drops. Personally, I'd put her in her own enclosure as I've not had the best success with multiple mice in an enclosure with a mom who dropped ("ooh! look! *nom*"). I'm thinking 1.3 with a litter of babies is a bit small for 10gallon, but then I always separate out the mom, regardless of what size cage they were in while in a group. =)
Get ready for the cutest, highest pitch squeakies ever!
0.1 ball python (Cleo), 0.1 surinam bcc (Carmen)
1.0 sunglow motley corn (Jenson), 1.0 albino burmese (Lourdes)
1.0 cat (Nicky), some mooses and ratters, 1.0 hubby (Rick)

We did place her into her own cage, but found the water sipper was not working right so we put her back in with the rest. I have a solution to fix this, I think. She has almost doubled in size and looks like she has eaten a ping pong ball
Also looks as if another mouse in the group is starting to plump up as well

Re: Whoo hoo! Got a plump mouse!
Well, she had them.... but not sure what happened, if they were stillborn or killed by the others or what, but I counted about 8 pinks and they where dead
Other then some being nibbled on and beind dead they looked okay. The mom was out running in the wheel when I got home from work.
Not sure what happened, next time they WILL be seperated

Well, if it is her first litter things like that can happen. What do you have them on as your bedding?

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Re: Whoo hoo! Got a plump mouse!
Just an update. Finally got a couple litters, one is going on 3 weeks old, making them hoppers (I believe) and another one going on 2 weeks just starting to get fur. Both females are in their own cages. I think cramped space may have been the problem the first couple times around
