    pastel hatchling post shed.

My one surviving pastel from my first ever clutch... and my second snake to pip.

Here is sans nom (he will get a name in time... debating between Umberto and Ronald at the moment but neither is really working for me).

The pic quality is not so good... or rather the lighting sucks. I need a non halogen, as they throw a yellow wash. But the face is the face and it is too cute for words.

So here is he is post shed...

I will hold him back even though I have a male. I need to be able to get a feel for how they mature and what they will look like as they shed out. I got his dad when he was around 450g.

Now just have to get him eating.

    Thanks for looking,
    Bruce

And here are a few pics of dad (then and now), so fingers crossed that he holds his yellow as well.

Awww look at that sweet face! He's a keeper, Bruce, and heck he'll be another nice male pastel to sire some interesting combo's for you down the road.

Thanks Ryan, Scott, Jo and Casey.

I am pretty smitten at the moment. I thought snakes were fun, but baby snakes... that is a whole new ball of yarn. Cute!

I have been squeeked at and lunged at so far! Not by him but by the normal sibs.

My adult male was sired by a Graziani line pastel that had great color and amazing blushing.

Gotta go and stare at the babes a bit more...

    Thanks for the comments,
    Bruce
