what is this beetle

I found this beetle in my lizard cage. I thought it was a superworm beetle, but they're supposed to be black. Any ideas.

That's a superworm beetle. They take time to darken up and harden. That, and they come in a variety of dark colors...some will be very dark brown, to rust brown. Others will be jet black

Id keep it and try to breed it with another beetle if another of the opposite sex pops up soon
