    Thumbs up Momma duck and babies

    Here is a pic of a mother duck and her 3 babies.This duck has a blue like feathers on her one side like the drakes do .If you look at her left wing you can see the blue.I have other pics of a couple other weird looking ducks we saw to be posted later. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...ons/ducks1.jpg

    AWWW! Adorable! I remember when I was about five, we wee living in an apartment for like, two years- and I caught a baby duck and tryed to keep it as a pet my mom made me put it back though lol

    Cute ducklings!

    Female mallards do have blue on their wings just like the males. They don't have the other bright colors though. I don't know enough to say is this duck is a mallard or not, but even if she isn't, it wouldn't surprise me if other species of duck have similar bits of color on the females.

    Well she was with other mallards but she was the only one with 1 blue wing.The other pics i have to post show a white mallard and one with a white chest .I think someones ducks got loose and hooked up with some mallards

    From the pic it looks like a female mallard. Ducks will interbreed when given the chance though. I used to live at an apartment complex that had white ducks that swam in their lake and they bred with the mallards. The mixed ducks where like a calico mallard.

    From what I can see of the ducklings, they look like mallards.
