    St. Louis Zoo (DUW)

We drove to within two hours of St. Louis last Friday night after work, so we were able to get up in the morning and see some sights of St. Louis.

First stop was the St. Louis Zoo. Neat place. Free zoo too...no admission fee. The zoo was definately a nice place. The penguin and puffin exhibit was awesome, but my pictures did not seem to come out well....I will have to steal some of Katie's later

It was a great day at the zoo and I recommend anyone traveling through St. Louis to stop and visit the zoo.

Here are some of the pictures from the visit:

I love the St. Louis Zoo. I raised my kids down there and many times it was the only place when money was tight that you could spend a whole day with just bus fare in your pocket. Not like a lot of so called free attractions that leave the kids bored and cranky. We would sometime spend every other weekend at the zoo. The exhibits have really improved since I was young. I took the grandkids a while back. Can't wait to go back.

SWEEEEET!! I grew up at the SL Zoo and have such great memories of running wild there. I love that it is sooo well supported and keeps up with constant improvements for the animals (did you see the hippo aquarium? I love watching them underwater).

    Thanks for the nostalgia!!!

    Cheers,
    Kat
