Is the Rex gene dominant?
Are they? I have two litters coming up today or tomarrow for one, and they were bred to a Rex male. Just curious if I will see any.

my tan dumbo rex male bred an albino dumbo female and we ended up with about half of them being rex. but the weird part is all of the babies were black and white with not a single tan colored one like their father

Both parents have to carry the red eyed dilution gene. It's recessive. All of your babies are now het for the RED gene.

They are very dark brown most likely. You would have been better able to see when he was just a weanling.
This girl is a beige, yet her eyes appear very dark.
Here's one of my beige boys eyes when he was very young. The flash shows the red.

Yep, that's what my male looks like, he is around500grams so he is older, so I didn't see him as an weaner. My black berk is fixing to have his babies, she has increaed in size so much since yesterday, and she is streching and laying on her back. The male is a beige Rex hooded. Here's to lots of rexed!

ok...so where did the black come from and why arent any of them tan like thier father?
