Foothill Herps from the morning.

I went up to check one of my dens this morning and ran into quite a few interesting friends, so here they are.......

Near the main reservoir......





and a second fitchii, ten minutes later

and this loner, partway down the fallen log, possibly a sneaker male.




And on the way out, my mortal enemy, the non-native euro pig.

I was aware that hogs had invaded many states in the south but was unaware that they were in mid California now

I never knew there were wild hogs in cali....whoa!

Being in CT, we're just now seeing things "wake up"....I cannot wait to get out and find things in the field.....though, I'm afraid nothing as cool (or hot) as you have just posted...great photos!
