    Quickie herping trip this morning...

I went for a quick trip out to the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area today for about 2 hours. I figured that I would share a few of the pictures since it was a pretty decent 2 hour trip.

Spotted this guy basking in the road. Was pretty long too. My field hook is 45" so my guess is around 59" for the ratsnake.

Then I spotted a few other interesting things on the way out of the woods.

Pretty good short trip. I talked to a wildlife agent about the area too. Great source of info, so do not forget to chat with those guys if you see them about.

It is not that difficult Emilio. I alway tell anyone interested in field herping to 'find a trail'. I know there are several public wildlife management type area near Miami. Just find one that has trails and take a hike. That is all I usually do. I rarely just wonder off into the woods....ha ha.

Not really a nack. Notice how this post and my last post were a couple weeks apart...ha ha. I don't always have good luck, but then again I consider a good trip seeing 1 of any kinda of wildlife. I have been out before and not seen a living animal of any sort....but usually if you wander around the woods long enough you are bound to spot something

Cool pics Daniel. That is a pretty hefty rat snake. What a great find. I think I may have to tag along one day.
