Icy goes to White Plains Reptile Expo (DU warning)

Today we went to the reptile expo in White Plains, NY. This expo was less ball python oriented than the NH show (IMHO) and had lots of really awesome chameleons and crested geckos. However I of course managed to find some great balls. There were also these stick insects that really interested me but forgot to get a picture :\

This is Part I: Everything that isn't a BP

The guy who was selling these carpets was very rude and not a good salesperson...

    Black headed python!!

    Woma pythons!!

Uh, don't ask me what's going on in this picture...

After we left all we could talk about was LEACHIES. They are without a doubt the cuddliest, cutest geckos I have ever seen! I could hardly believe they were actually geckos, they're so big bodied.

    Olives!

    Cute frilled dragons

This is part II: Ball Pythons

There were literally TONS of orange ghosts at this show. And quite a few genetic stripes also.

    Hope you enjoyed...

Oops, just realized I included an albino ball with the non-BP section

Sorry I'm tired, I forgot a couple pics

Madagascar Tree Boa ("Sanzinia") - something you don't see everyday

Really liked the coloring on this king.

Great shots! That breeder butter for $1000 would have been snatched up by me in a heat beat!!! Did you ask how many grams that pewter was?

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Those are cool photos, Icy! I was pretty strongly tempted by the Whitelip Python at the same booth as the Olives, red Ackie, and red-tailed green rats. I missed the Mali Uromastyx! I only saw regular grey ones.

What I brought home, if nobody minds more photos, were these -

This pastel from Michael Kostakos, just wouldn't sit still for a photo:

This snake from Reptile Kingdom _isn't_ a pastel, I suppose, as she's got a spotted belly. She's awfully pretty though, and has green-topped eyes like a real pastel. She's got a little tiny head and a bullet nose, so meet Funny Face:

Scored a rack, thermostat, hides and a scale from Rich at Reptile Basics, too!

Maybe I saw you? At one point I was looking at two female normals in a tank - don't remember whose they were, but one of them decidedly did not look normal to me, and was very very light... I passed on it because I already have a female, but one fellow right behind me bought it immediately as I left

I don't know who it was, but also I don't like to name names... besides I don't know if that guy was the actual owner of the carpets, or someone who was helping the owner.

Here's hint #1: I didn't end up getting a carpet (for several reasons, not just because of this particular show. If I wanted a carpet I would have ordered it from Michael Pennell anyways )

If that guy was wearing a black leather jacket and a slightly beat-up fedora hat, Hi! That was me!! That female _was_ in a large deli-container with another, darker animal.

Melissa Flipski, those were Gonyosoma - Asian red-tailed ratsnakes. _Painfully_ cool arboreal ratsnakes - but a bit difficult, from what I understand.
