help! my BP escaped! i live in apartment complex

my bp got out sometime yesterday or last night.

ive read all the threads on here about them escaping.

i live in a very small dorm-style apartment, one room, dosent even have a kitchen in my room. ive checked everyyywhereee. i think i can litterally say that because my room is so small.

what im realy scared about is if he squeezed out under the door and is now in someone elses room(there are like 50 rooms in the building). i dont know how people would react if they found him or realize it was a pet. also just finding him is a million times harder if hes out someplace else!

i have turned up the heat in my room and put a bunch of crumpled clothes around to hide in. i put his tank on the floor and put a live hamster inside it with the lid open. im leaving the lights off and the blinds shut all day long.

what else can i do?? should i leave my door cracked? i really feel sick with worry

i know most people just say to wait but im really concerned because its an apartment complex and not just a plain house

Don't leave your door open. If the snake is still inside you do not want it outside. Have you checked all vents and heating ducts? Even if the space looks too small, look there. You would be surprised the places they can get into. Just keep looking and remember they usually don't stray farther than 10 feet from their enclosure.

good luck on finding him. Check under every cremis in ur room. They are very tricky and can fit in such tight spaces. When mine escapes, it likes to burry itself into the couch to the point if he did get deep enough, I would have to take the cough apart.

check under ur fridge or any type of heat emitting source

well the room is litterally a cement box haha, no vents, just a small floorboard radiator and a mini fridge.

i moved all the furniture(mini fridge dresseer and desk) went throught allll my clothes, drawers etc still no luck

i left the room pitch dark with the bait out in the middle. i came home this afternoon and what do i find? nothing. then about an hour later i lay down on my bed and look up at the ceiling. i have a big tapestry flat on the celing and i notice a funny dent in it.

what do you know he somehow got up ON TO THE CEILING under the tapestry like a hammock. mind you it is about 5 feet from the walls in any direction and theres no lamps or curtains or anything. so apparently he can fly

he was sooo stiff from being cold, he could barely move, so im glad i found him when i did!!

Thanks for your help guys! if it wasnt for reading the other threads on escape on these forums i wouldnt have even bothered to look after the first round and assumed he made it outside already.

    Congratulations on finding him!!!

Sounds like he may have been a snake-cicle if you hadn't found him.

thats so funny that you found him on the ceiling, make sure you put some weights on the screentop so that he can't escape again

If its really 5 feet from the walls i dont know how it would be possible... It sounds to me like someone played a really cruel joke on you. I would check with your friends or something.

actually after examining the tank it looks like the clamp on the heat emitter gave out and it slumped down and kind of melted part of the cage top so the screen got loose
