I actually just moved my biggest ball to a 32qt tub, he's at 728 grams.

There are a few threads if you search it up about this subject too, everyone has there own opinion.

    How big is your snake?

Don't have a scale yet but I would say 500g I heard they do better in a smaller tube till adults.

well if you ever are going to get a scale go to http://reptilebasics.com rich has some good prices and nice scales.

And that is another debateble topic really, most ball pythons do eat better and feel more safe. But then some people believe otherwise. So far in my own experience I have found they do like it better in a smaller enviorment.

I would say get a scale or see if anyone has one you can borrow, or you could even just wait a few more months and then put him in a 32qt.

Re: when shoul I move to a 32qt?

I have my 500+ers in 30qt's and they are/have been fine. With 2 hides and a water bowl it takes up enough space to make them feel secure.

Re: when shoul I move to a 32qt?

We have had 200 gram babies in 41 qts for a short duration. They actually did fine with none of them going off feed or anything like that. Now we did put 5 to 6 different types of hides in and a large water bowl to keep everything really clutered and give the illusion of a smaller space.

On the other hand we have a 2000+ gram female that is in a 32 qt tub. We tried putting her in a 41 qt tub and she went off food. Put her in the 32 qt and less than a week later she was slamming on the F/T rats. We really do not full around with the 15 qt tubs at this time. We have shoe boxes for babies, then step right into a 32 qt. Have not had any problems doing this, but we are looking at the 15 qt tubs as a space saver since we can fit 2 snakes in the same area compared to 1 with the 32 qt.
