    Bigger Hide?

I have had my male mojave bp for a month and a half now. He seems to be doing very well and his las shed was perfect. Came off all in one piece . Anyway . . . I think that my snake may be too big for his hides. When he moves around in his hide or decides to curl up a little tighter, the hide moves up. Sometimes it seems that it rest on top of him instead of him resting inside of it.

I know that BPs like tight spaces but what is a telltale signal to get a bigger hide?

Thanks for the link. That thread answered my question. his hide is the right size but I might try the terra cotta pots thing out. they would look nice in my tank.

    Re: Bigger Hide?

Believe it or not, most of my animals don't have a hide! They all do pretty good too, have great feeding response and act pretty good.

I think I can get away with out using hides for a couple reasons, the animals are in a racks. The racks are in a spare bedroom that don't get a mess of traffic, aside from feeding day or when I check on them a few times a day. And the newspaper is cut and layed out in such a way the animal can (and usualy will) get under it
