Man whose blood is used as snake antidote

I'm sure lots of you have heard about this guy before. I, however, only just read about him today. His name is Bill Haast and he lives in Florida where he takes care of over 400 venomous snakes. His story is very interesting, though I find a lot of it hard to believe especially without citations.

The really interesting part is that since he has been injecting himself with snake venom for so many years, he claims to be immune to snake venom and his blood has actually been used as antidote.

Oh well, here is the article if anyone is interested. It might promote good discussion

Man, I've heard of some strange ways of getting high, but that kinda takes the cake

6000 dollars, but then again you have to grab a freakin cobra and milk it dozens of times to get that... prbably not worth it to me

I donno, for 6000 dollars, I'd do it. Of course with proper knowledge and everything. Milking once or twice a week for four or five months? Yeah, I'd do it. :]

Just seems to me that there are easier and less dangerous methods of making cash I guess if I had a cobra.... But meh, I'd rather not have an animal that dangerous around lol.

I knew a guy around town that would milk his snakes and let his friends consume the venom... brings new meaning to drug of choice...

I wouldn't mind one or two hots in the future, I kinda like them.
I would like, quarantine their own room for them though and take every precaution.. just cause I'd worry about it too much.
I would try to feed them pre-killed only too. Just so it doesn't have to suffer through the intoxiation of the venom..

But thats like.. 20 years down the line. And I probably wouldn't get more than one or two.

    I suppose so, I wouldn't mind though, I think I'd learn a lot from it. :]
