BP "how-to" husbandry video - what do you think

    http://reptilestv.com/video/snakes/ball_python/02.htm

I just found this site tonight, and it seems to me there are several bits of erroneous information in this husbandry video. Almost feels like an advertisement for the products they are using. What's everyone think?

my goodness, 100 degrees! No controls! heat rocks! Huge hides!...I am not impressed. I mean he said "the substrate absorbs a few degrees" and he also said "they like to burrow" gee don't ya think that should mean that the "few degrees" absorbed by the substrate doesn't matter then...oi

Some of the things he says are good and some aren't.
Obviously the company that sponsored the video had it's products in it. That's too bad but a reality. That hide was really way to big and open.

I wouldn't want that video to be the only information a beginner has because they would think everything was good info.

Re: BP "how-to" husbandry video - what do you think

Im surprised that my comment was indeed sensible as I posted after a night at the bar, I had to question myself in the morning "was I actually on BP.net after harty-partying" lol...wow I lead the coolest life

Anyway, as mentioned, the product endorsement is going to put a damper on a video like this especially if the company does not supply ALL of the required equipment for a proper set up. But thats why we're here right!! To make sure that people do not use a video like this as their single source of information.

I've seen those vids before, and it seems like a refresher course could be in order. I think that they should have also done a tub setup to keep current since tubs are so heavily used....oh, and way to drink and type, Missi
