    First tag

I fed it out of the tub for the first time.

And I tried putting it back in the tub, when I reached for it it bit.

I felt nothing but like the moment a needle penetrates your skin for a nanosecond.

I think that is hysterical irony

And this, children, is why we feed snakes INSIDE their home.

I actually switched to in his enclosure last week! I'm thankful I did so I don't have to deal with that.

    Re: First tag

See I have opposite results with BOTH my snakes when I feed them.

I have always fed my Cali King in a seperate cage and he NEVER gets nippy before I put him in and never nips after.

My BP is the same way so far! I fed him for the second time today; feed day is always Thursday. The PetCo reptile specialist said they fed them every Thursday so that was that. I've had him for 1.5 weeks now and he's doing great. Ate right away after having him for just under 72 hours. He's nice and plump.

I take him out and put him in a different tank than I use for the Cali King that I have laying around and then use tongs and dangle the F/T mice infront of him. He smells around for about 5-15 seconds and then strikes.

Before and after i've never had a problem with my snakes being nippy. I can just pick the BP right up after he's finished and he'll curl up in my hands and wait to go back in his cage for a nap! He really doesn't even seem to get agitated.

I guess i'm just really lucky. That or animals love me
