    Exclamation Still hasnt ate...

OK, so one of my female BP's, Rin, has now been off feed for five months. I have tryed EVERYTHING! A few days ago I left a fuzzie rat in with her over night to see if she would go for it- but nope. So my question is- is it time to force feed? And if it is, how exactly do I do it? Just unhook her jaws and slowly put the mouse (or rat fuzzie) in? She has lost so much wieght, and she's so weak. The vet hasnt helped either, aside from "Well shes not sick- just keep trying,". BIG help, as you can see.

    Some help please?

    Re: Still hasnt ate...

Not sure how old she is, but sometimes it helps to go even smaller with the prey item....maybe a fuzzy mouse if she's a baby. Also, try feeding her in a small plastic container if she's a baby. I mean something that's too small to keep her in for too long. Leave her in there with a fuzzy mouse (or appropriate sized small prey) for a few hours (air holes..don't forget em) covered with a towel or shirt so it's completely dark. Don't open up to check to see if she has eaten until the time is up. I have not had that issue with a bp, but it worked like a charm with a non feeding baby corn. Good luck and let us know if she eats.
