    The big girl is here!

We just got her here on Wednesday. She got delayed a day in transit due to a screw up by Fed-ex, which means she was pretty darn cold and barely moving when she got here. She went to the vet today and was found to have a minor RI and retained eye cap issues. We got the antibiotic for her and have to give it to her for the next 9 days. As for the eye caps, hopefully they clear up in her next shed. All and all we think she will pull through. The vets scale put her at just over 4 lbs and we named her Egeria.

Re: The big girl is here!

I guess I should clarify here that the RI according to the vet was caused by the shipping issues and not an issue reflecting on the breeder that sold it to us. The breeder that sold her to us has been nothing but supportive through the shipping ordeal and we are actually very happy with the service we got from Heather. She was spot on and I don't see how anyone could fault a breeder for a mistake on the part of a shipping company that was not related in the least.

Heathers Herps get a definate thumbs up from us!

On the other hand we give Fed-Ex a thumbs down and think we are going to try Delta Dash and see how they work.

My girl from heather has some retained eyecaps too. No big deal. They'll come off

Poor snake though. Its scary to think how easily something like this can happen with an animal.

Hopefully she pulls through and shes able to spend her life in your care. Great looking girl you got there!!
