Is it legal to have venomous snakes in Va? I have always caught the copper heads and one water moccosin here around my house but dad always told me it was illigal to actually keep them captive. Didnt know if it was because he is scared of them lol or what it is but some one let me know! we actually have about 4 baby copper heads in our crawl space last summer wish i had a camera to get a pic it was awesome i got the babies out but never found momma!

I live near you we may know some of the same people as far as keeping hots in va it is legal

You might need a permit to keep them but I'm not quite sure.
