    Re: Everyone Help Me !

    I can't offer any advice because I don't have a clue but....

Somebody had just posted some pics of what they thought was scale rot. If you have not seen them, you might want to check them out to see if it's anything like what you are seeing on your bp. Here is the link to it http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=59936

Is that darkened area indented (I think it was the first part you pointed out) or does it just look like that? When you first showed it I gasped because it looks like it's a sunken in area and a large one at that.

Humidity may be an issue, but the hard brown belly scales are indicative of something else. I would take her to a vet. Could be an internal issue.

not brown like their scales but more of a dark orange. list a rust or bronze color. humidity before this was around 80%-90% because she was going through a shed. i took her out of her tank, placed her into a smaller tub with paper towel & her water bowl with alil bit of water. i have put neosporin twice 2day and will repeat tomorrow.

    Re: Everyone Help Me !

That would be a bonafide vet trip, pronto. Looks like belly burn from the vids, but could also be bacterial, etc. The fact that it is in more than one spot on her lower abdomen is worrisome and suggests bad burn. Stop using the UTH until you get the problem fixed. Keep her on clean paper towels and use neosporin only if the blisters are not deeper than the skin layer. It's a $40 exam at my vet, surely worth the peace of mind.
    Good luck with it.

    Cheers,
    Kat

    TanyaL,
thanks on the link. its at a worser case than that. i seen that before on my female pastel when i 1st got her in april07 but after she shedded, i havent seen it again. i know when i touch it, it sinks in. the 1st part i was showing, is where there are bubble blisters, some have popped when i pick her up n inside the tub.

Definitely take that snake to a vet asap....there are alot of very experienced herpers here but only a vet who can physically see and handle your snake can tell you what it is and how to treat it

    Re: Everyone Help Me !

I would take it to the vet. It looks like scale rot. If I remember right its a fungus. If you soak him/her in iodine and water it will kill the fungus. Thats what the Vet told me to do along time ago when I rescued a Ball Python from a nasty pet store. She had scale rot really bad. But if I was you I would still take it to the vet.

    Re: Everyone Help Me !

Do you mind me asking how long it too to get to that point? If this is indeed scale/belly rot, I think it would be informative to know how long it takes to develop and get to that point.

I hope you can get her to a vet ASAP and that all will be ok. Please keep us posted.
