Re: Pics of found frog
Whoa; looks like you have a gray treefrog! You might not believe it, but they are very elusive. We have some that congrerate to breed in the woods here, by a certain pool of water. You hear them.. you try to find them.. they shut up! And you can't find them! I was talking to a fellow herp nut at Beaver Meadows, a nature sanctuary near us; he said that finding grays around here and actually getting to see them is like the holy grail.
I have never kept them, but I had a spring peeper for awhile. I'd set it up at normal summertime temps for your area. Like other treefrogs, they appreciate a higher tank as opposed to a long one; more air space for branches and other climby things.
Normally, your frog would be brumating (hibernating) now. I don't really know how to advise on brumating frogs. I have only brumated horned frogs, and it is almost like inducing a state of torpor (sleep) in them. But I am not sure how you'd go about it in relation to soil depth, proper temp, etc. indoors.
Maybe he'll grow on you?

Re: Pics of found frog
Thanks for the links! They are very helpful! My apartment stays around 75 so I think temps for him are ok for now. One site said 68-78 during the day, another said 80.
I got him some pinhead crickets and will be checking in on him soon to see if he's eaten any. I got him some fake leaves to climb on. The enclosure I have him in is very small and only temporary. He's in a small critter keeper until I can find something bigger.
