    Re: Glass tank setup

    Man!!!
    I'm glad I read this,
I learned a lot from reading it.
    I'm sorta a newb,
so my tank got a mess.
    Know I just realized how much $$$;
I wasted buying the WRONG stuff[!]
    Though I learned & I thank you.

    Question:
Does anyone know a good reptile site(s) that sells...

    Aspen Snake Bedding
    Sphagnum Moss
    Thermo-Hygrometer (Digital)
Wipe Out Antiseptic Hand Gel (I like the smell )
Thermostat (w/ VISIBLE #'s on it!)
    Ceramic-Compatible Clamp Lamp&Stand
    Infrared Temp. Gun
    Repti-Carpets (for a 20 Gallon)

...and possibly get from 1 or up to 2-3 other sites (well just basically try & buy most of everything from 1 site)? I dont want have orders coming from several different sites & shipping costs being wasted Lol.

    Thnx~

    • Quantity 2. Under Tank Heating pads (UTH's). $20 each.

We like Zoo Med brand UTH's. They cost a little more than other brands but are built to a standard which appears more durable. They are readily available at most reptile pet stores and extensively online.

    cont'd on next post

Are the two Zoo Med UTHs size small or mini?

Re: Glass tank setup....probe placement drawings!

In the Herpstat II Pro set-up diagram, are you using 3 UTH's?

    Re: Glass tank setup

You said to use two thermostats....there are three heat sources (CHE, UTH 1, UTH 2) - can you elaborate more on the specifics?

Thank you for all the information. Have you ever seen a vendor who will cut the plexiglass covers? My local hardware store can probably cut the right size rectangle but maybe not a round cut-out for the heat lamp.
