    Feeding Help with baby Kingsnake

    Hi,
I have a 3 month old Grey Banded Kingsnake, and he is usually fine about eating, he takes the mice (frozen mice) when offered, and is often out in the next day or two for more. I usually feed him every 5 days. About every 3 mice or so, he regurgitates one, and I can't figure out why. I don't handle him, the temp is normal, etc. Any ideas on what to do/what could be wrong?
    Thanks

If he's doing this regularly you need to get a fecal done and also have him checked for cryptosporidia.

It could also be a number of other things, too cold, handled too soon, too hot, food to big, but I don't think so based on the info you provided.

Next time he regurges take that to the vet and have it checked for crypto and next time he poops have that checked for parasites.

Ok. I was wondering if it is parasites, and yes, I'm thawing the mice.
    Thanks

Well you can get a fecal done to rule out any parasitic problems. Alterna's are known to be picky feeders but you say he's eating pinkies no problem and he's three months old. If he's regurging the third i would only feed him two pinkies, it'll not be long until he's ready to move up to fuzzies. Make sure his belly heat is adequate and thats he 's got plenty of hiding space were the belly heat is

OK. Thanks. He's always been really good about eating, and is usually hungry. I will look into seeing if he has parasites.

What type of heat are you providing for him? What are your cool side and warm side temps?
