    Flexwatt and UTH

    Quick question..
I use 11 inch flexwatt to heat my rack. If I were to get a UTH (11 inch) from say a pet store and put tin foil on the sticky adhesive and used that and connect everything to my herpstat. Would that work? I'm asking this because I would like to add some more heat to a second shelf on my rack because I'm getting my third snake in 2 weeks.
    Thanks

    Re: Flexwatt and UTH

why not just use some more flexwatt? I have heat tape for my rack and a couple tanks with UTH's and they all run off the same thermostat, so yes, you can do it. It might depend on the thermostat though.

I have to order flex from the states, and when it comes it would end up costing like $40..

I get all mine here in Canada from Greg West located out of calgary. He will ship, and can pre-wire it up for you if you so choose. here is the link to his site. I believe he is having a sale right now too.

hmmm, ya know, i think there is someone in Ontario that also sells it, though i can't seem to recall who off the top of my head. ReptilesCanada's site is down at the moment, but once it is back up, i recommend going on there and starting an inquiry thread, i am sure someone can point you in the right direction. Seeing as i am from Alberta, i don't know much about herp supplies for the ontario area.
