Re: Snakes found in storage unit (CNN)
Who would leave those snakes like that? I wouldn't want to walk into that mess. There could be a cobra hiding in any number of places in that dirty room.

"scum baggery" ...jamie glass
this is the only quote that comes to mind when i think of the people or person that did this! uncalled for.
i wish keeping pets or animals wasn't appealing to people like that, it really is unfair!
"Why do you need so many snakes?"
"Why do you need so many shoes?"

Oh wow those poor little beauties, well I am glad that they were found and are now going to be properly cared for.
Why have an animal if your not going to care for it....Just doesn't make sense, Ven or not.

I really liked the part about the "southeastern cobra that is from this area"! Too funny!!!
What idiots!!
This is really more common than you might think it is. There was a storage building opened in the Dallas area a few years back that had quite a few rattlesnakes and others in it. A friend of mine who is the Pres. of a local herp society housed them all for a time until they could be found new homes.
Also curious as to why this is in the colubrid forum.
