    My current art-project.

    Greetings!

Just discovered this part of the forum and thought I'd post what I'm currently painting. I'm a art student on my last year. So, I'll just post and I'd love to hear what you think etc. Pardon the lousy picture quality.

And for those of you who are into metal, you'll probably recognize the picture. It's the cover of In Flames newest addtion, the album "Come Clarity". This is my version of the original drawing by Derek Hess, a great man.

Excellent foreshortening! Foreshortening is the bane of my existance, lol. Love the shading too.

What program are you finishing up, if I may ask? I have an associates degree from AIPX in Animation, although illustration is where my heart is.

Are you talking school? If so, it's just generel art. I'm thinking of going deeper into drawing after this year. Thanks alot for the positive comment
I'm still trying to figure out how to continue. Want to do something out of the ordinary

Nice! I love the use of large/smallness to make the hand actually appear as if it is much closer to the viewer than the body.. cool.

Wow, lucky! The Art Institutes make you pick a career path then cram it down your throat, lol. No general art options there. If I'd been able to do that, I'd have taken a nice combination of more life drawing and graphics classes instead of all those 3D animation classes I couldn't opt out of.

Very cool, keep up the good work! I plan to take more life drawing classes too, it helps more than anything else, no matter what style you take up!

Thanks alot Yeah, that's what I figured out. It's easier to evolve your skills if you know the basics (naturally drawing) pretty well
