    Bartleby or Anaximander?

First snake, and first published pictures of the snake. Its sex is still unknown, however I have been thinking of the names Bartleby or Anaximander if it turns out to be a male. I havn't yet come up with any good female names, but I'm still looking. Anyway, I just wanted to share some pics. I'm proud of the first one, it came out real nice.

I used the macro setting on my digital camera and just shot the snake on a peace of copy paper. I tweaked the brightness and contrast with Photoshop.
Any criticism/tips would be appreciated as I'm still new to the photography scene.

    Thanks for looking,
    Austin
