Children's poem about a BP - super mojave to be exact. lol

I thought you all might enjoy this. I wrote it during my lunch break today - every so often I need to write. I get all these ideas jumbled up and if I don't spew something onto paper I'll explode. So today, this was what came out.

Imagine the scene as a breezy night at the sea, a full moon and not a soul in sight, there's one large rock situated at the edge of the water, on which a super mojave (blue-eyed lucistic) is resting. (see heayah: http://www.newenglandreptile.com/gal...cy_gallery.jpg ) I'm in love with that morph, that's why I used it as the character of my poem. ^_^

It's just supposed to be a children's poem - one with a moral and musical, bouncy, sing-song type rhymes. I thought it was pretty cute. And so, without further ado, The Sea, The Moon, and The Serpent

Along the shore the sea did roll,
Out for its usual, late night stroll.
It paused a while upon a rock,
Then with the moon, began to talk.
For resting there in the pale moonlight
Was a pearlescent serpent – purely white.
The moon looked with fondness at each ivory scale
While the sea, in admiration, lapped quietly at her tail.
She then lifted her alabaster head,
And addressed the sea, to which she said:
“I cannot understand your admiration of me.
I’ve done nothing special – at least, not that I can see.”
The moon beamed at her and tried to explain
That she was a remarkable creature, but she was never vain.
The shimmering serpent never worried at her reflection,
And it was her kindness and humility that had earned their affection.
The creature smiled, and stared with deep blue eyes
At the moon and the sea, which was beginning to rise.
She thanked them both, then sweetly said
That she must be going – t’was time for bed.
She stretched and yawned, repositioned her jaw,
Found a safe place, then curled into a ball.
She slept in this manner all through the day,
And when nightfall returned she continued on her way.
But she would never forget what the moon had said,
And would never let beauty go to her head.

That was a really good poem. I like it. If I ever get photoshop working again would you mind if I created artwork to go with the poem?

I would love if you created artwork to go with it! I was thinking of doing so myself. ^_^ Just PM me if or when you want to do it.
