    Water Turtles

    I have been wanting to buy a water turtle lately... i dont know much about species and such yet... can any of you help me out and gimme some idea on what a good starter water turtle would be?

    I don't think any of them are that easy. I have a couple of red eared sliders. The care is pretty simple, but they require a lot of space. Eventually I have to get a 300gal pond or something.


    I know mud turtles, painted turtles and maps don't get as large (males are always smaller)

    0.2.0 red eared sliders
    1.0.0 Three toed box turtle
    1.0.0 ball python
    1.0.0 common boa
    1.0.0 dumbo rat

    Guess not!

    This is a 125gal. Both the turts are 6in. I will be filling that tank up and making an above tank basking area soon.

    those are some cool turtles... I didnt realize they got that big. They have some for sale at the local pet store and there so tiny. its crazy to see them that big.
