    A couple new wildlife pics!

I have had some pics that I've been meaning to put up on the website, and finally got around to it, so I thought I would put them up on here now.

The first picture is an Eastern Black Swallowtail that I chased around my porch for about ten minutes before I could get it to sit still on one of my Azaleas.

The second picture is a snapping turtle that my wife saw crossing our field after leaving our pond. Now this field is about 150 yards away from the porch, so you can guess that he/she was pretty big. After closer inspection, she said his carapace was about 18 inches. This is the second snapper that my wife has seen leaving our pond in the last five years, but I'm never home when she sees them.

The last picture is a baby squirrel sitting on Monica's leg. The picture is not as interesting as the story, so let me tell it. This squirrel was sitting on my daughters bike. My son came out the front door onto the porch (where Monica was sitting smoking a cigarette). Well Bryce slammed the door and scared the squirrel, who proceded to jump off of the bike and run up Monica's leg. Monica then proceded to get up and walk through the house to get the camera, and then walk back through the house and out the front door before sitting down again and snapping a picture of this little guy. The next picture in the series, I did not post, but is of Monica holding this little guy before setting him back on the ground. I can't believe he let her walk all over and never jumped off. I asked Monica what she was going to do if he decided to evacuate her leg while she was in the house, and she didn't know. Once again I was not home for another great wildlife moment.

    Hope you enjoy the show,

Thanks for the compliments. That squirrel pic was probably taken about 5 or 6 months ago, and I just got the full story from Monica yesterday while I was updating the website.

    Christie,
I am sure that plenty of people would like to see that video. If I had it I would post it for everyone's amusement.
