Taking my kittens to the vet

Well, my little lover boy, Rattles is not doing so well.
He's not interested in food much, is losing weight, is rather lethargic and is having trouble walking.
Siam, my scrapper, is, by all accounts, fine, however, I'm going to take them both in tomorrow afternoon
to have them checked out. If Siam is healthy, she'll be getting her vacs, Rattles, on the other hand, I'm sure will *not* be getting his vacs tomorrow.

Wish my kitty luck in that it's not some major, life threatening thing.
Oh, and wish ME luck because I'm going to be taking a 2, 4, 6 and 7 year old on the bus with me.

Omg, you are a braver woman than I!!!

Good luck getting to the vet, and that they find nothing of major concern. I hope a bit of antibiotics and he will be back on his paws again.

That's what I'm hoping for, that it's nothing major that some meds can't fix.

Poor dear... I do hope it's med fixable, but doesn't sound too good. LOTS of luck to ya, and here's hoping the kids don't drive you too nuts. *HUG*

Re: Taking my kittens to the vet

All went well at the vet's office.
Rattles is fine. He had a very slight fever but nothing of concern. He did eat and drink real good today though as well, so that was good. Both he and Siam got their vacs today, as well, both tested negative for Feline Leukemia which is a good thing.
Rattles has some mites in his left ear so I also picked up some meds for that and of course some Frontline for fleas seeing as how they are crazy around this area.

The two leggers did good too. They all just love hopping on the bus and going for a ride, so they were thrilled. They didn't like the fact that the vet took the cats into the back where the kids could not watch her drawing blood and giving the vacs, but the kids will survive.
I'm beat and glad to be home, as are my feline boys.

Oh, BTW I feel like a complete dork..... Mike (my husband) and I never bothered to lift Siam's tail and have a gender peek. We just took it for granted that she was a she.... that's what the lady we got her from said.... she's not... she's a he. LOL
So "big sister" is now "big brother". Poor Siam, s/he's gender confused now.
*makes note to self... ALWAYS check first hand, never assume*

I'm so happy for you that you survived the trip, the kids behaved and your kitties are ok.
