very cool. I really like the markings on that ones head.

I'm glad that your monitors are doing well.

    Thanks Judy and Ed!

I am thrilled to be able to keep black-headed monitors (varanus tristis tristis). They are a more arboreal species so they are very fast and have nice claws. Much different than the v. storri that I keep now.

I have all of odatria planned for the future...ha ha....but this is it for a while. I have to save up for the really rare stuff

If I could have gotten a bigger group of orientalis, I would have went for those too, but I will have to wait until I can find someone with plenty to sell. These will get a little larger.....about 12" SVL max, 30" TL max (all tail..ha).....but I love the dark color of the adult males.

They are so neat too....very 'clingy'....definately have some claws for climbing...ha ha.

Thanks. I would say that they are about 6" TL right now.

I can't wait until they get full grown at 24"-30" TL....

ha ha....I always say that I am waiting.....just waiting until I see something I really want.....too bad that I am always 'looking'...ha

...and no worries about the 'bad news'. That guy is doing 10x better than before and will probably make a full recovery. Just something to keep me on my toes and spend up all my 'rainy day' savings...ha ha...
