Breeding Crickets
Well, Im getting a Bearded Dragon in about a week, and Ive decided that I want to breed my own crickets. My only question is- is there anything imparticular that you need to do to breed them, other than just putting a bunch in a cage with water (the gel stuff like water), and cricket food? I know pretty much nothing about crickets, because when I had lizards before I just would buy a dozen and throw them in. But buying for an adult Breardie can get exspensive, a Im sure some of you know, so I figured Id give this a shot. Thanks.

I know that they lay thier eggs in soil, so I would give them a shallow dish with softly packed soil for them to deposit eggs in.

Re: Breeding Crickets
Hmm.. Yea, that looks like a good deal. The reason I want to breed though is becasue it would be alot cheaper (Save about $16-18 a week), and save gas lol. I mean, if I try the breeding thing and it doesnt work out, then Ill buy them. Its really not that exspensive. But my neibor did it for years to feed her sons lizards (varius types), and she liked it becasue she knew that they were gut-loaded and healthy.. I dont know, well see where it ends up.
