    C. Atrox (western diamondback)

I have been herping around my house for most of this season with no luck. A few nights agoI decieded to go ahead and make the 10 minutes drive to a small highway that heads out to the lake. It is pretty heavy during the day but not at night. (figures huh?) So 2 nights ago I finally found one on the road. Long story short, I turned around just to see it get run over by some jack.... in another car.
Yesterday night I was told about a dirt road just off of the highway that has alot of atrox on it. Well alot of rain that day made me come up empty handed.

Today I went back and drove it twice. No luck although got to use 4WD and saw some wild donkeys. So after I drove that dirt road I decieded to stick with the highway. About 5 minutes after exiting the dirt road I cam across a C. Atrox crossing the road. So I turn around and daadaaadaaaa. Look and stare. I decieded I would get it out of the bushes. (yes I have proper hooks and tongs tongs.com) As I was doing that some one had pulled over. Sure enough it was some one from the AHA (AZ Herp As...)
He volunteered to take his time and took some photos. I only have one for now but maybe I can get him to cough up the others.

After that, I drove about 4 miles NE and came across another. He was not with me so no photos of that one. I will be making the drive to a highway about 45 minutes from my place on Friday and according to him (he knows his snakes for sure) I should find a nice variety of snakes.
    Sorry about the bad spelling!

I did NOT take this picture but its is the one that I found. If I was smart, I would take my own camera but....

    Wicked awesome!

I'd probably run away if I saw one of them...
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?
