3 of my favs (adult jungles)

Well, I have been trying to get around to getting some pics for a few people, so while I had the camera out I decided to try and get some pics of Skunk, Opal, and Flower since they had all shed fairly recently. Well, I took a lot of pics, but didn't get a lot of success (guess I need to try the bucket next )...but I decided to post these anyway. Although these aren't the best pics ever, they should give you a pretty good idea of what they look like now. Hopefully between this year and next year we will get at least one clutch from both of these girls bred to Skunk. Can't wait to see what they will produce!!!

I will also try and get some updated pics up of some of the babies that we produced this year. Some of them are progressing nicely, especially some of the jag sibs. We are also still waiting for a few to shed from the Skunk X Deb clutch (including one of the ones that Tim has to choose from). Anyway, hopefully there will be more pics soon to follow...for now, here are some jungle pics.

First one is of Skunk. He is now 3 years old.

Next two are from Opal. She came from our '04 PXP clutch. Try to ignore the couple of pieces of wet wood shavings she had stuck on her from spilling her water.

Last two are of Flower. She is from an unknown line, but she was so sexy I just had to have her!!! Although she does have DAS syndrome, since she looks so good I don't mind the extra time it takes to feed her too much

WOW now those are some nice JCPs. I'd be real happy if either of mine matures anything like yours.

Well, Ben, you know that I am a profound darksider but I have always had a soft spot for nice jungles and those are exceptional!

Re: 3 of my favs (adult jungles)

Thanks for all the kind words. I am glad other people appreciate them as well. I sure love these three!!! And yes, they are adults. The male has given us 3 clutches of babies between last year and this year. He is probably around 2000g. Opal is about 2500g, and Flower I guess technically isn't fully adult right now, but she should have the size to breed this year (~2000g) so I counted her in. Lengthwise, these three are all probably between 4ft and 6.5ft. Oh, and DAS syndrome is Dumb A.. Snake syndrome. It is when they perpetually strike and coil rodents and then just drop them and don't eat them. It was a subject that was talked a bit about on one of the other forums. Definantly annoying...but for her I deal with it. I just have to offer the food to her 2 or 3 times before she finally eats it, so in the end it isn't too bad...just really annoying while I am doing it.

Yep, we'll for sure be at the Anaheim show. We went there for the first time last year, and it was a lot of fun. Really cool to meet so many other reptile people, and even a fair number of carpet junkies too! For sure stop by and say hi!!!
