I have a Rhino Raxx, but not the ball room size. It's a really nice rack and very professionally assembled. When compared to the looks of other racks, it just looks a little nicer. They are also a little higher priced than comparable racks, and depending on factors I am not sure of, you may have to wait weeks on end for delivery. You may also receive your order very quickly... it's just one of those things that happens with Boaphile.

    Re: Boaphile Rhino Raxx

This is my ball room Rhino Raxx that holds the 1960 41 qt tubs.

I like it and it is vey well made but I actually was about to order a new rack from Rich at www.herpenclosures.com. and then right as I had placed the order I had a unexpected expense of about 2 grand and had to put the rack on hold.

You should do yourself a huge favor and contact Rich. He can make or add any changes or thoughts that you may have had or want. He is super helpful and has great customer service.
I was really impressed. His prices are a tad better than Boaphile I do think.

He was gonna take his 1960/41qt rack and add flex to the front of the tub for me and acrylic door w/ some holes drilled in it for addt'l airflow. Also a hole on the side to the front for my Helix probe for the front flex.
I have a problem w/ cold air and draft in the room I keep my rack and was looking for a better set up before this winter. I was going to order on a Monday and he would have had it ready to ship in a few days.

He told me he was gonna be in and out the next three weeks because he is doing shows. But drop him an email or give him a call on his cell number, it's on his site.

I have one of Rich's racks, the 15 qt 8 tub one and just adore it! Extremely nice workmanship, tubs slide like a dream and he uses Iris tubs (my fav when it comes to tubs, they are a dream to clean!) I'm definitely sold on his rack workmanship and will hopefully be getting more of them in various sizes in the future.

    Re: Boaphile Rhino Raxx

Thanks guys.....i just checked out his site, it looks pretty good.

The one thing i like about boaphile is that the only thing i NEED to buy is a thermostat, it comes with the heat already and all i have to do is plug it in.....i also already have the tubs that come with it so thats a 30 dollar discount right there

AND ACTUALLY ! im not even paying for the dang thing in the first place so i might just go with the boaphile, but thanks for the herpenclousures.com heads up.

What Thermostat do you guys recomend i buy ?

Right now im not using one and im stressin out daily trying to get the levels of subtrate just right so that the Temps are just right and its driving me nuts

And with the addittion of some higher end morphs coming my way theres no way im gonna be tinkering around wwith dangerous heating pads when theres a big wadd of $$$$ in the cage.

I use a Helix DBS 1000 tape the probe to the flex tape just like described on Boaphiles site.
Herpenclosure comes w/ the flex routed in the bottom also and I am sure he would give you a discount if you already have tubs. His racks are the same just add T-stat and plug in.

I switched from another unnamed sourse to Rich at Reptile Bascis for thermostats. He ships on time (which the other source did not do) and is great to work with! You couldn't go wrong ordering from Rich. In regard to which one to buy, I think the Helix is great and the only kind I use on my incubator. I also use Rancos on some of my racks cause I double them up for backup.

I have a Boaphile juvie rack (the 5 row 3 column) that I have been using for several years with no problems. It did take an unusual amount of time to get it, it was delayed several times from the original planned ship date. I also have 2 cb70 4 tub racks from Reptile Basics that are great. Most of my adults are in Animal Plastics racks now - they are also great racks.

    Good luck!
    Alice
