The "tank" is 24" square(+). It's a not-for-water tank, with a screen lid. I had the tegus in it when they were small, then rats, but the rats tore the screen a little bit. The cat kept jumping up on the screen and popping it loose, so there was no using it for rats or tegus anymore. So I thought.. hey! Flash the redfoot tortoise can have a nice big enclosure. Here's another couple shots of him in his new spot. I'd take video.. but well.. it would look like a picture, since he doesn't do a lot.

You might want to check your humidity levels. It looks like it might have the start of Pyramiding. Todd

Pyramiding isn't a humidity issue it's a diet issue, I believe. Too much food I believe. I'd have to go back and check. I don't notice any pyramiding anyway...

He eats various salad(no iceberg or spinach) and tortoise food, in addition to various fresh fruit or veggies.
Is this a good diet? Is there something I should be concerned with? I'm totally NOT a tortoise person. This was supposed to be someone else's and she just plain didn't care for it AT ALL, so I took it. So any advice(within reason, don't tell me he needs gourmet lettuce hothouse grown in Guam, imported through the Concord or anything, lol) would be welcome.

The general consensus used to be that it was too much protein in the diet.
It has been proven by many big name breeders that it is a humidity issue. There was also an article in Reptiles mag.
