    My cages are finally here

New homes for my Ball and Blood.

I purchased them from Reptile Basic after reading alot of great things about Rich in this forum. Frankykeno was a huge help.

Both cages have flexwatt built into them and they are controlled by a Helix DBS-1000. I was a little surprised how long it took for the bottom cage to heat up but it eventually got there.

Each holds humidity consistently at 52-54%

The top cage runs a little hotter. The basking spot runs between 92-95 and the bottom one stays between 88-90. I haven't moved my Blood in yet as he needs to get a little bit bigger. I just need to tiddy up the excess cords from the thermometer probes but hopefully my snakes should be set.

It would have been nice if UPS didn't ding up my cages during shipping, I really do hate those guys.

Any suggestions or tips you all have would be great if you think I should add something.

Im guessing the ball is on top and the blood is on bottom. Right? The cages are super hot! Love them. What are the dimensions?

Personally I think the blood is going to grow quickly out of those hides. You should get a tub(rubbermaid) for the bloods water. He gets fairly fat and that little bowl seems too small. Judging by the area for the blood the cage might be too big.

Otherwise if he fits and feeds then I guess it should be fine.

Where do you guys find those saucers? Cant seem to find it. lol.

Yeah the Ball is on top and the Blood will be on the bottom but I have yet to move him in there. It's still a bit too big for him but I set it up anyways just to see how the temps run and everything. I'm just trying to get my husbandry down and all set.

The saucers I bought at Wal-mart.

I got the cages from reptilebasic.com
