    Arrow Tips?

Does anyone out there have tips on photographing their snakes? When I bring my BP out all he wants to do is look around and move. Is there some sort of trick to taking pictures of animals or is it just luck?

set your shutter speed to the quickest it can be. the longer the shutter speed, the more likely you are to get blury pictures- i'd also try to find naturally good lighting, such as the sun, because the flash tends to wash out color. you have to be able to move around with them. i try to stay on their level and do this kind of army crawl thing...i'm still learning too. it takes practice!

    P.S.- having a semi-decent camera isn't a bad idea either!

    Re: Tips?

With lots of snakes, when you initially set them down in a new area (as for photo taking) they take a little while before they start to move around, but once they start, good luck getting them to stop! So.. try taking pics quickly after you set the snake down.

Also, since BPs are nocturnal, try taking pics during the daytime.
