    Mexican milk snake

I was just wondering if anyone kept these guys here? I've heard they stay small like the Pueblan, but are less likely to musk/bite can anyone verify that?
I'm looking into a King or a Milk for my next snake, just trying to get some insight thanks.

    Re: Mexican milk snake

Hi Chris, i don't recall anyone on the forum owning a mexican milk but there are a few different milk owners about. I personally own two Kings, albino Cali King and a MBK x Splendida, both are a joy to own but when it comes to the musking and biting scenario, it is a very rare occurrence. All Kings and Milks will do a fair bit of musking when immature but they soon calm down with age. The best way to avoid getting bitten or musked is to not startle your King/Milk and then try and pick it up. The snake automatically thinks you're a predator. I let both my Kings come up out of their vivs of their own accord onto my hand or if they're being a bit stubborn, i always slide my hand in below them to lift them. Anyway heres a few pics and hopefully some Milk owners can offer some advice
