Talking I got my trio today! Check it out

I narrowed it down from the 7 to 3, French Cobalts, Patricias and powder blues. My local dart breeder has these right now, so it made my decision easy Here's pictures of the trio and their setup, and my Leucamelas and their setup. The plants are just starting to take off. I'm excited.

Oh yeah, they're powder blues. I didn't say what they were, and they look more like the pics I posted of the French cobalts than the powder blues.

    Wow congrats.

You really have a knack for setting up one hell of an enclosure...curious how you would even go about setting something up like that.

I'm sure they don't even realize they are in captivity with a cage like that!

I'd love to keep some of these frogs somewhere down the road. Good luck with your new additions and as always.....more pictures!

yeah i'm curious too, because that definitely doesn't look like a false bottom. did you just put in substrate and moss? *btw, not that there's anything wrong with that, i have set up some very nice plain bottomed enclosure before and not had problems.

anyway i like the pics, and you definitely picked some nice tincts (your leucs ain't bad either).

Thanks, these guys are pretty cool, and my leucs are growing nicely and getting more spots. I'll get some updated pictures once the tincs are in there permanant home.

No, I don't have false bottoms because there isn't any standing water in my enclosures. My substrate goes - lava rock, orchid bark, sphagnum moss/coco fiber mix, live sheet moss and some mounds of pillow moss. Tropicals are mostly planted in the substrate, and some orchids and bromiliads are mounted to the cork bark background. The fern grew out of nowhere (spores in some moss?) and is taking over the leuc's tank. It These plants are just starting to fill out. In a month it should look like a jungle.
