    Tractor people out there?

Come on, I can't be the only tractor-pusher around these parts. I pulled out the ol' Massey today to cut some lawn.. haven't used her since last fall (Mark uses her as a snowplow, with plow attachment, but he put the mower back on last week; a sure sign of spring.)
I had fun starting her because my one-dimensional brain could not get the hang of it, as I was trying to drive in Neutral.. but we'll sweep that under the rug for now and go on to some fun pics!

Me and Massey: she's a 1428 MF 1428V bad-girl Tractor pulling a Deere grooming lawnmower; I can get it sweeter than any golf course!

    Goin' my way?

And me with our neighbor's Deere.. just posing here as I have never driven this bad boy.. I am a one-tractor gal.

My dad bought an old Farmall cub (1932 i believe) and restored it. he originally bought it to mow our back lot but couldn't get the deck hight he wanted. so he sold it.

our neighbor has a full size Kubota that we use for the heavy jobs like grading the road and digging ditches.

for everything else, we use our ATV....plowing, bush hogging, etc. Amazing all the attachments you can get.

I learned on an old school Allis-Chalmers back on my parents farm when I was much younger. That beast was old before I was born and it's still used on the farm today!

Here at home I got me a powerhouse for our lawn. A 6.5 horsepower Briggs and Stratton push mower!! WOOHOO!

Jen, we got a 1954 Ford 27 hp with a Woods premium finishing mower. I'll have to get some pics this weekend.

    Awesome; tractor pics always rock.
Is there anyone else that takes joy in mowing their lawn? i really do; it is like a way to get away from the world for awhile; no phone ringing, no voices calling..

    Re: Tractor people out there?

I'm with you 100%....mowing my lawn is something I look forward to and enjoy completely. If only the mower was silent then it would be pure perfection

of course I have no neighbors and live on the side of a mountain, so when I mow the view is woods-barn-valley-house-woods-barn-valley-house it's purdy.

I stop a lot to save frogs, snakes, and mice that end up in front of my tractor
