    Painter Turtles

    Do these guys shed as they are growing?? I mean just their shell? Thanks!!!

    Painteds do shed their shell scutes in big pieces (the size of the scutes ironically, lol) they also shed their skin, but because they are in the water and it comes off in pieces you don't often see it, or if you do it looks like slime almost. Hope that helps!
