    Schneiders Skink - Input Wanted!

    Hi folks!

My son and I would like add a "Schneiders Skink" to our collection. We've done some research on the internet with respect to care and what not, but wanted some input from those who may actually have them.

Are Schneiders Skinks a good first time skink to start out with?

Are they very handleable & docile (obvisouly within reason, limiting to just several minutes per day)?

We've read some mixed information with respect to subtrate to use. We've read where some folks use play sand and others that use Bed-A-Beast and even some that use aspen shavings.

    Any information would be greatful!

I had a schneider's skink when I was a kid.. cool little lizards. Mine was quite docile. I used aspen shavings for mine I think.. though bed-a-beast would be fine too.
