scarlet king snake question
i have been looking around for a scarlet kingsnake, but i can't seem to find one. i checked kigsnake.com and some other online classifides and nothing. so i figured i would just see if anyone here owned a scarlet. is there any breeders that i havn't been able to find online? or should i just keep checking ad's amd such.
also if anyone has any pictures could you post them. i love the colors they are beautifull.
thank you

Re: scarlet king snake question
Scarlet Kingsnakes are not really an easy kingsnake to keep.....that is why you are having a little trouble. Young scarlet kingsnakes are primary lizard feeders eating mosting ground skinks and similar small lizards(or snakes). And even if you have a readily supply of ground skinks....that does not mean it will eat them...ha ha.
You would be much better off picking a more commonly kept kingsnake with similar looks to the scarlet, but if you are intent on getting one....I would just keep an eye on the classifieds at kingsnake.com they will pop up every now an then....you just have to look harder than for the more common animals.
