Mealies are available at all times - probably 20 or so in a dish, gutloaded and dusted with T-Rex Leopard Gecko Dust every time.

i keep mealies in a dish at all times. i just put in a bunch and then change them out every week or so to make sure the ones my leo is eating are gut loaded. i dust with t-rex leopard gecko ICB powder either every or every other time i refresh the dish.

well like i said i take out any leftover worms once a week or so and put in new ones in order to insure that the worms my leo is eating are nice and gut loaded. the old worms go back in the gut loading container to refuel.

Babies need to have a dish of mealies at all times. Adults I generally keep filling but it all depends on what you plan on feeding. If you plan on just feeding a staple of mealies then you will need to keep refilling the dish as needed. If you plan to feed cricks and mealies, to give variety to the diet. I will fill the mealworm dish a couple times a week and they get cricks to(for adults).

    Re: for those feeding mealworms...

I have a dish of mealworms at all times, with a dozen or more. Chibi gets fed every night by hand, so I don't keep too many in the dish. The ones I feed by hand are dusted and the ones in the dish are not. The ones in the dish get changed out every two days, the ones in the dish going back into the container and new ones going into the dish.
    Under Construction.....

Forgot to add - I also give her 2-3 crickets daily, and a wax worm or two once a week as a treat.

    Re: for those feeding mealworms...

mealworms aren't a good choice for cresteds because they cannot digest their thick, chitinous shells like leos can, therefore they don't get any nutrients from them.
